Schönbrunn opens first on 6 November 2026. The Christkindlmarkt on Rathausplatz, Spittelberg and Art Advent at Karlsplatz open on 13 November, and Belvedere on 20 November.

Are Vienna Christmas markets open after Christmas?

Some are. Schönbrunn stays open until 6 January 2027 (10:00–19:00 from 25 December), Belvedere until 31 December, and the Rathausplatz ice rink until 6 January. The Rathausplatz market itself closes on 26 December.

What are the opening hours on 24 December?

Rathausplatz closes at 18:30, Schönbrunn at 16:00, and Belvedere is open 11:00–17:00. For the other markets, check the official page linked on each card.

Is entry to the Schönbrunn Christmas market free?

Yes. According to the organiser, admission to the Christmas Market at Schönbrunn Palace is free; no ticket is needed to visit the market itself.
